350 Pacific Team 350 Pacific Team, September 24, 2012

Join the biggest youth climate summit the Pacific has ever seen! Power Shift will be part conference, part festival, part workshop and part celebration of the power of 1000 young people to change the world.

From 7-9 December 2012, we’re inviting 1000 students, community organisers, young professionals and emerging leaders from across the Pacific region to converge in Auckland for the first ever Power Shift NZ-Pacific. Over the 3 day summit, we’ll engage with climate change solutions, hear from inspirational speakers, learn new skills, launch a massive climate campaign for 2013, take climate action and forge new connections.

Power Shift NZ-Pacific features exciting speakers like Bill McKibben (US author, co-founder of 350.org), Lucy Lawless (Actress, activist), Len Brown (Mayor of Auckland), Mike Underhill (CEO, EECA), Christina Ora (Solomon Islands), Brianna Fruean (Samoa) and more, plus dozens of informative and skills-based workshops.

The event will provide exciting opportunities for learning, the development of leadership & organising skills, networking…and more!

Climate Change is Affecting the Pacific Islands Now

Islanders are facing an increasingly precarious existence as the frequency and intensity of severe weather events and rising sea levels due to climate change increases.

Help us #PrayForOurPacific

Faith is pivotal to our people, and like the ocean, it connects us. In the face of the climate crisis, we need prayer to carry our people and faith to build resilience.
